I am hoping to purchase a compact tractor soon. I have contacted the local dealer and he may be getting in a B2150 with FEL with less than 1000 hours. When I mentioned a toothbar for the FEL he didn't really know what I was talking about.I have looked on several UK web sites and there is no mention of the implements you take for granted over the other side of the pond, such as Box Blades, Landscape rakes and toothbars. Do you know if there are any suppliers who would ship to the UK or if there are any UK suppliers of them.ThanksAndrew.

Andrew, I'm originally from the U.K. and I can't believe that the basic pieces of equipment you mention are not available over there. There may be a terminology barrier that needs to be overcome but if you explain to your dealer I'm sure he will catch on. If not, I'd have serious reservations about him. His lack of knowledge will almost certainly translate into lack of service. Perhaps you need to talk to some smaller construction companies and find out where they get their equipment. Shipping stuff directly from the States would be cost prohibitive because most of equipment is pretty heavy. Apart from the freight charges, you also have to deal with British Customs which I know from experience can be greedy and expensive. Happy hunting and I hope you can find what you need. ....

Hi Frank, thanks for your reply.

I did wonder if it was the terminology that was the problem and as I was on the 'phone possibly he didn't understand what I meant by "tooth bar". Hopefully he will be able to get the B2150 for me to look at then I will take some photos with me of what it is I mean.

I was sent a brochure of implements a few months ago but there were no toothbars and the nearest to a box scraper was a box blade and a rear chisel but not the two together, if you know what I mean.

The main thing I will need is a toothbar. I, like you, am surprised that the dealer didn't know what I was talking about. I was hoping that a supplier of them might read my post and be able to let me know who in the UK they supply.

Thanks again for your reply.

Andrew. ....
